My Take On Himalaya Herbals Refreshing Cleansing Milk-

I have oily skin and thus taking care of it becomes a difficult task for me! And again, I have sensitive skin! So, I needed something that would cleanse my skin nicely, without leaving an oily residue behind, without drying out my skin and also without irritating it. That was when I bought the Himalaya Cleansing Milk, which is a budget friendly cleanser and claims to remove light makeup too!

I have been using it for like a month and I just finished up a whole 100ml bottle of it! This cleansing milk comes in a white bottle with the trademark Himalaya Herbals green, flip-top cap. The cap is sturdy enough and consequently, the product is travel friendly. The cleansing milk is slightly runny and creamy in consistency and spreads easily onto the skin. This cleansing milk actually removes light makeup, as you can see in the picture below. However, you would need something better for removing waterproof makeup. This Himalaya Herbals Cleansing Milk cleanses the skin effectively, remove dirt, oil and does not over dry the skin too! This never ever broke me out and it does its job pretty well. I am in total love with this one!

However, it has its own share of cons too. Firstly, it stings the eyes, just like soap does. So. this cleansing milk is not that much suitable to remove light eye makeup. Secondly, it contains parabens (ugh!). Next, this cleansing milk does not foam much. So, you won't get that fresh feeling after washing it off. This smells a bit medicinal, mild and milky and thus, the fragrance may not be liked by all of you. However, I am least bothered about the fragrance as long as the product works well for me :D

Moving on to the Pros and Cons...

PROS-

1) Very affordable
2) Great packgaing
3) Cleanses the skin effectively
4) Does not over dry skin
5) Removes light makeup easily!
6) Never ever broke me out
7) A little goes a long way...
8) Does not make skin oily and leaves not slippery feel behind
9) Mild fragrance
10) Would suit all skin types!

CONS-

1) Does not lather as it is a cleansing milk and thus you may not get that fresh feeling after suing it, if you are used to foaming face washes.
2) Stings the eyes just like soap!
3) Contains parabens
4) Medicinal, creamy fragrance may not be liked by some

                                                           Swatch-

Final verdict- One word- Amazing! I loved this dirt cheap cleansing milk and would continue to repurchase it for quite sometime, until I get bored! This would suit all skin types, cleanses the skin nicely, removes light makeup, did not irritate my skin and does its job nicely! What else do you want? :D Just that it stings the eyes a bit. So, do not use it around your eyes as they are very sensitive! If you are looking for even a milder cleanser, then try out the Cetaphil Cleansing Lotion for sure :))

Rating- 4.5/5

    1. Hi Sammie! This is not a makeup remover but yes, it does remove light makeup easily! :D It is just a good cleansing lotion and does not help to get rid of waterproof or smudge proof makeup :) However, it is very affordable and completely worth a try :)
