My Experience with Nivea Fruity Shine Lip Balm Watermelon :

This is a lovely shade from the Nivea fruity shine range of lip balms. It is a rosy-pink shade and looks lovely on my lips. yes, like most of the lip balms from fruity shine, this one also contains shimmery particles, which add a hint of shine to the lips without making them look like a disco ball!

Fruity Shine Balm : Nivea Fruity Shine Strawberry Lip Balm Review

It comes in a retractable stick, making traveling easier for me. The packaging looks attractive and pretty. Also, stick packaging is very hygienic. I prefer sticks over tubs. I carried it with me to Darjeeling and got a few compliments from friends. It does not cover up fine lines but moisturizes well and adds a glossy shine to the lips. Can be worn alone or under/over a lipstick.

After multiple swipes, the color shows up as a very light one. So, do not expect too much color from this. Looks natural and smells fruity. This lip balm smells really fruity and sweet but once you apply this to your lips, the fragrance fades off quickly. I find the fragrance nice but some might not like it.

It does not heal the lips quickly but with continuous usage, this works and prevents the lips from being chapped and dry. You definitely need a good 2-3 swipes to fully moisturize your lips. The color fades away in 1 hour while the moisture stays put for 3 hours on my normal lips.

Nothing is mentioned about SPF, so I assume that this does not provide sun protection. For summers, sun protection is a must. So, consider the fact that this does not contain SPF before making a purchase. Overall, this lip balm is just another lip balm with a fruity fragrance and lovely color.

It is budget friendly and the quantity provided is great. Also, it is very easily available everywhere. The extremely light color is lovely and I would buy this for that alone. Anyways, if you are looking for chapstick that heal the lips then consider using maybelline baby lips or Burt's Bees lip balms. Both are great and work really well on my lips. Great option for those who do not like to wear too much of color on their lips, yet want that delicate hint of color.
