Just Herbs 8 in 1 Root Nourishing Amla Neem Shampoo Review

Product Description : Synergistically formulated shampoo to penetrate the hair shaft, strengthen the roots and nourish the scalp, while effectively cleansing the hair without stripping off its natural oils. It is a great combination of eight herbs – Amla, Hibiscus, Heena, Tigonella Seed, Neem, Vetiver, Wheatgerm Oil and Soy Lecithin. Indian gooseberry (Amla), for centuries, has been known to be effective for growth of healthy black hair, while wheatgerm oil acts as an antioxidant, soy lecithin softens and repairs damaged hair thus reducing the dryness and brittleness associated with lack of nutrients necessary for a healthy hair growth. Hibiscus naturally darkens hair colour and prevents premature greying, while neem and methi seed extracts deeply nourish and condition the hair roots thus controlling excessive hair fall. Contains certified organic Indian Gooseberry (Amla), Neem, Hibiscus and Henna. Free from petrochemicals, parabens, SLS/SLES PEG/PPG, Genetically modified ingredients(GMO) and other synthetic ingredients.

MY EXPERIENCE WITH JUST HERBS 8 IN 1 ROOT NOURISHING AMLA NEEM SHAMPOO :

I bought it during my Aplava huge haul and review. It contains wheatgerm, hibiscus and other goodness. This shampoo is bright green in color and is really soothing to the eyes. I had really high expectations from it. Organic and ecocert approved, it has a really wide mouth, which leads to a lot of product wastage. I always take out more than I require as it is runny in consistency. I wish it did not have such a wide mouth. But the quantity of product provided is good. Even after using this for 3 weeks, thrice a week, I still have more than half of the shampoo left.

This amla-neem shampoo lathers well but a little less than its counterparts. And, I can totally understand why. It is on the expensive side and paraben and sulfate free. Made in India, I just love the fragrance of this shampoo. I think you should get it just for the fragrance. The herbal, yet soothing and fresh fragrance lingers on for sometime in the hair. It cleanses the hair really well and removes all oil and dirt from the tresses in about 2 washes.

After washing and drying my hair, I noticed that my hair felt a bit hard and not that manageable. Also, it was frizzy. So, I teamed it up with my favorite conditioner and hair serum and noticed that my hair felt really manageable, clean and there was no frizz. So, you should always use a conditioner after using this otherwise it makes the hair frizzy. It did not dry out my hair at all, and that's a good thing. I find that it does nourish the hair as my hair and scalp feels better now. The itchiness on my scalp that I used to get has significantly reduced.

My hair feels better than it felt with harmful chemical containing shampoos. The texture has slightly improved. Yet, do not expect dandruff control from it. It did not damage my hair and never caused any scalp irritation or itchiness. I like this shampoo and would repurchase this for the fragrance and for the quality. But, if you have very dry, rough and unmanageable hair already, then this won't work. So, skip it if so.

PROS OF JUST HERBS 8 IN 1 ROOT NOURISHING AMLA NEEM SHAMPOO-

1) Itchiness of scalp reduced
2) Very slight improvement in hair texture
3) Cleans the hair and scalp really well
4) Lathers nicely although it's organic
5) Did not dry out my hair
6) Did not irritate my hair or scalp, no hair damage
7) I did not face too much hair fall
8) Ecocert approved, free from parabens and sulfates
9) Quantity provided is nice
10) Soothing fresh fragrance and color
11) Beautiful packaging
12) Makes hair shiny
13) Easy online availability

CONS OF JUST HERBS 8 IN 1 ROOT NOURISHING AMLA NEEM SHAMPOO-

1) Not travel friendly
2) Makes hair frizzy (Always use conditioner after using this)
3) Do not expect it to magically control hair-fall, dandruff or split ends
4) Wide mouthed, leads to product wastage
5) On the expensive side
6) Makes my hair slightly hard before usage of conditioner and serum

Final verdict : Even after these cons, I might repurchase this organic shampoo in India. It made my hair shiny, causes no hair-fall or damage and I do not mind the frizz as I easily control it by using conditioner and serum. Also, it contains a lot of good ingredients and does not dry out my hair at all. Cleanses the hair and scalp nicely too, so why not? However, if you already have unmanageable, very firzzy and very dry hair and scalp, I would say you skip it.
