Dove Soap Review-
I have tried Dove soaps but as they did not suit my facial skin, stopped using them. I again started to use these a month back and have used the Dove Cream Beauty Bathing Bar both on my body and oily skin. Today, I would be throwing more light on the Dove Soap and tell you how this beauty bathing bar from dove worked for me...
Product Description- Dove Cream Beauty Bathing Bar replenishes your skin’s lost moisture each time you use it.
Price in India- Rs. 45 for 75g and Rs. 166 for 300g
Ingredients-
My Experience with Dove Cream Beauty Bathing Bar-
The Dove beauty cream bar comes in a normal cardboard box, with no inner wrapping. Okay, so the packaging looks feminine and not like one of those cheap soaps that would dry out your skin. The soap is oval in shape with a kind of dent so as to provide better grip. The soap is white in color, contains no SLS or parabens, as I see in the ingredients list. Anyways, the soap lather too nicely and forms a creamy lather instead of a bubbly one.
I have used this Dove cream bathing bar on my oily, sensitive, acne prone facial skin and it did not do much. My face became oily too soon and thus, my pimples kind of got aggravated. I stopped using this soap on my oily facial skin, but I guess people with dry skin will like it as it does not over dry skin and kind of moisturizes the skin, unlike other soaps. It melts a bit faster, though because of the 1/4th moisturizing cream formula, maybe.
I used this cleansing soap on my body and yeah, it did a good job there- cleansed my body skin nicely, left it feeling soft, glowing and moisturized too. It does not over dry the skin at all and my skin feels fresh. The floral, creamy and soapy fragrance does not linger on after bathing. Anyways, this is a good soap, worth trying out and if you have dry or combination skin type, you might just like it way more than I like it for my oily skin :)
PROS-
1) Affordable
2) Never over-dried my skin
3) Adds a glow to the body skin
4) Contains no parabens or SLS (check ingredients list)
5) Does a good job in cleansing
6) Skin feels moisturized lightly
7) Lathers up nicely- forms a creamy lather
8) Easily available everywhere
CONS-
1) Not for oily, acne prone facial skin like mine
2) Does no miracles, making the skin look better or something
3) An inner wrapping would be nice
4) Fragrance does not linger on after a bath
Final verdict- Go, try this Dove cleansing soap out as it won't hurt your pocket much, being affordable. I think people (guys or girls) with kind of dry skin will like this dove skin care soap and oily skinned people should not use it on their face and rather use it on their body :) It is a good soap, overall, to try and anyways, for my face I use Cetaphil Cleansing Lotion for Sensitive Skin and it does a good job, so this soap is more of a body soap for me :)
Rating- 4/5
