VLCC Glow + Sunblock Lotion with SPF 20 Review

VLCC Glow Sun Block Lotion with Sandalwood Extracts (SPF 20) Review-

VLCC Glow + Sunblock Lotion with SPF 20 Review

I’ve had quite a good run with VLCC products in the past and last month, when I was looking for a good sun block online, I came across VLCC Glow + Sun Block Lotion with Sandalwood extract. On an impulse, I decided to purchase it. But did I hate it? Like it? Love it? Well read on to find out more...

Product Information: VLCC Glow + Sun Block Lotion with Sandalwood extract has SPF 20 and PA++. It is suitable for all skin types and it claims to give you a healthy glow.

Ingredients- Sandalwood extract, Saffron extract, Wheat Germ oil, Zinc Oxide, Aloe Vera extract and Water melon extract

My Take On VLCC Glow+ Sun Block Lotion with Sandalwood Extracts-

The sunblock lotion comes in a flip top tube which is travel friendly. It is white color with a fairly even consistency that is easy to apply. And yes, the sunblock has PA++ too and at this price of Rs. 99 only, I must not be complaining too much. It spreads on easily onto the facial skin and removing it using normal face washes is super easy!

The first thing that will hit you when you use VLCC Glow + Sun Block Lotion with Sandalwood extract is its fragrance; it is very strong to the point of being a little unpleasant. (My mom complained of a headache when she applied it!). My skin absorbs it quickly and you can step out in the sun within minutes of applying it. The biggest positive of VLCC sunblock lotion for face is that it hardly runs with your sweat. Other sun blocks I have used the past tend to make white colored streaks on my face if I am sweating a lot. I have never experienced any problems with this one.

PROS-

1) Price
2) Absorbs quickly
3) Does not melt down with sweat
4) Easy to apply
5) Convenient, travel friendly packaging

CONS-

1) The fragrance!
2) Makes the skin slightly oily and dull after sometime

Final verdict- Though it is a good sun lotion and it does its job well, I won’t be repurchasing it because of its overwhelming fragrance and as it makes the skin a bit dull after sometime. So, if you can bear with the fragrance, you can definitely try this out...However to me, this is not the best sunscreen for face.

VLCC Sunblock Ratings- 3/5

  6. Nice honest review. I really like using Lotus Herbals and Fabindia sunscreen. I keep alternating those two. Haven't had a good experience with VLCC..
