Cipla Saslic Foaming Face Wash Review-
Recently, I reviewed the Cipla Saslic Foaming Salicylic Acid Face Wash and today, I am going to review the Cipla Saslic DS Foaming Face Wash for all those people who are suffering from Acne or Pimples. I have been using this for more than 4-5 months now and I am all set to tell you more about this facial foam. So, let me review this foaming face wash- Cipla Saslic DS...
Product Information- It gets rid of dead skin on top, so that other medications can get to the inflamed skin underneath more easily. Salicylic acid has many cosmetic benefits and is usually used to treat blemishes. When applied to the skin, salicylic acid works by causing the cells of the epidermis to shed properly. This prevents the pores of the skin from getting clogged up and being infected with bacteria. It’s basically a chemical agent that aids in the process of exfoliation by eliminating surface skin cells and opening up pores. The acid is also known to break down blackheads and whiteheads as well as other types of acne. Salicylic acid is a keratolytic agent. It encourages the peeling of the top layer of the skin and opening up of the plugged follicles, which helps re-establish the normal skin- cell replacement cycle. For milder acne, salicylic acid helps unclog pores to resolve and prevent lesions. It does not have any effect on the production of the sebum or P. Acnes.
Ingredients- Salicylic acid IP.........2%w/v
Price in India- Rs. 198 for 60 ml
Availability- All medical stores (Easily Available)
Shelf Life- Around 1 year and 11 months
Directions for Use and Indications- Gently massage Saslic all over the Face. Avoid eyes and surrounding areas. Allow it to remain for 20-30 seconds. Rinse face thoroughly and pat dry. To be used for the Treatment and Prevention of Acne as a part of the daily cleansing routine. Not to be used in children under 3 years.Store in a cool dry place.
Packaging- This Cipla Saslic DS Foaming Face Wash contains Salicylic Acid and comes in a purplish bottle with the colourless liquid inside it and has a pump attached to it, which makes this liquid get converted into a foam and come out in a foam form. Basically, this is a foaming face wash. For protection, there is a transparent, tight-fitting cap attached to it, which makes it very travel friendly.
Color, Consistency, Fragrance- It is a colourless liquid, which, due to the pump present, dispenses the right amount of foam in one pump. It is foamy and bubbly in consistency and glides easily onto the skin. It smells a bit like alcohol, but the fragrance is too mild to irritate the nose.
My Take On Cipla Saslic DS Foaming Face Wash-
I use this Cipla Saslic DS Foaming Salicylic Acid Face Wash once at night, before going to bed. It has a pH of 5.5 which is acidic. When I press down on the pump provided, the liquid inside comes out a s a bubbly foam which is very convenient to spread onto the skin. This cleanses the skin really well, unclogs the pores, removes all oil and dirt, does not sting or hurt, never broke me out and also helps in controlling acne and pimples very effectively. You can see the results within a week itself and I am going to take this to my grave with me :P :P I love Cipla Saclic DS foaming face wash as well as the milder version of this- the Cipla Saslic Foaming Face Wash. However, it dries out the skin but my Brihans Aloe Vera Gel fixes the problem :D I keep the foam on my skin for about a minute and then rinse it off using circular motion and my skin looks fresh, glowing and clear.
I highly recommend the Cipla Saslic Salicylic Acid Foaming Face Washes to all of you suffering with acne and pimples. Seriously, this works and I would ask you to give this a try...Even I did not know about this until recently when I saw it at a medical store and this is very easily available too. I know, it is pricey but totally worth it for me :D It gives more than 100 sprays and would last for a minimum 25 days when used twice daily, 2 sprays each time that is 4 sprays daily. So, it is totally worth the price paid for clear skin :D
