ELF Studio Blush Palette Review in Light - Stud or Dud?

Review: e.l.f. Studio Blush Palettes

Review By Anu Gupta

The product I am reviewing today makes me feel as excited as a little girl feels once she owns her favourite candy. The product is E.L.F Studio Blush Palette in Light from ELF Studio line. Ya I know that many of us are not very happy with ELF Studio line but believe me girls, this product is exceptional! The product looks so compact, classy that I ended up buying both Light and Dark shades. Today, I will be reviewing the Light one...

Product Description- This beautiful blush palette holds 4 gorgeous shades to mix and match throughout the year for a custom blended color. Great for contouring, shading, sculpting, and highlighting, these silky smooth blushes create a beautiful pigmented glow. With a mixture of complimentary matte and shimmer finishes, you can achieve a professional look every time.

Price- $6 for 0.14oz or 4 g

My take on ELF Studio Blush Palette Light Shade-

The product comes in black packaging with full size mirror, which is the first plus point about it. It contains a total of 4 different blush shades.

The formula of these blushers is a lot softer, pigmented and blendable in comparison to the original single blushes from studio line. As these blushes are VERY pigmented, it is important to use a light hand or to apply them with a stippling brush. Also each individual blush is removable from the palette. So, I can make my own custom palette by using  only ELF Studio Blush Palette Light and Dark!

Shade 1 is a soft, cool toned pink shade with no shimmer. Shade 2 is a warm, apricot bronze shade with no shimmer, in my opinion it is too warm for contouring (I prefer something cool toned) but could be used as a bronzer. Shade 3 is a coral pink shade with sheer golden shimmer. Shade 4 is a medium mauve pink shade with no shimmer at all.

This Light palette would suit to the people with medium to fair skin tones. I can get about 4-5 hours of wear before I start to notice some significant fading. Keep in mind that I have very oily skin, so the lasting power of these blushers may vary according to your skin type. I detect no fragrance whatsoever in these blushes.

What I liked about ELF Studio Blush Palette Light:

1. Great pigmentation
2. Versatile colors and Silky texture
3. Lots of matte options
4. Great for daily makeup needs.
5. Great packaging and travel friendly.

What I didn’t like about ELF Studio Blush Palette:

1. Not easily available in India

Final verdict:  For six dollars a piece, I think these palettes are a great deal. You can contour, highlight, mix colors...there are lots of options here for six bucks Overall, I am super-duper happy with this palette. I have been using this since palette the day I received it. Next month I need to attend a family wedding and I am going to customize my blush palette using both Light and Dark shades.

Rating- 5/5
