Lotus Hebals TeaTreeWash review

Lotus Herbals Tea Tree Face Wash Review-

Hihi :D I am back! My son's exams are going on and I am not being able to come online much now ;( But anyways, exams come first. Well, I have been using this tea tree face wash from about a month now, and here is my take on it :D...

Price- Rs. 160 for 120g

Ingredients:

Product Information: Specially formulated for oily skin, this absolute oil control face wash contains Tea Tree Oil, Cinnamon and Oak Bark extracts which remove excessive oil while regulating the Sebum (Oil) production in the skin. These special ingredients in this premium face wash decrease acne type lesions and combat free radicals leaving the skin fresh, clean and clearer.

Shelf Life: Around 2 years.

My Take On Lotus Herbals TeaTreeWash with Tea Tree Oil, Cinnamon and Oak Bark-

This comes in a pale yellow tube with a flip top cap. I do not like flip top caps much because it takes a lot of effort to clean them :P This face wash contains small white granules which just do their job perfectly and are not ''too'' harsh for the skin. I can see how much product is left by seeing the tube under very bright light. The product is colorless and is super runny in consistency and most of the times, it becomes impossible to control the amount of product coming out. It smells really fresh and different. I just love the fragrance- herbal, refreshing and not overwhelming.

Now, it asks you to use this 2 times daily. I did that and I realized that I have made a big mistake. I got lots of pimples on my skin, probably, due to over-scrubbing my skin and my skin felt all irritated. So, I started using it only once a week. And yes, it works now. It cleanse the face nicely, leaves slight slippery feeling (not a con because the slippery feeling is nothing serious), and scrubs my sensitive, oily and acne prone skin nicely. I liked this wash but won't repurchase it. It does not do anything for acne and dries out the skin. So, those who have dry skin  should happily stay away :D

Summing up the Pros and Cons-

PROS-
1) Scrubs nicely and removes all dead skin cells
2) Fragrance
3) Affordable
4) Contains cinnamon and oak bark and tea tree oil too!
5) Cleanses the face nicely removing all dirt and oil
6) Adds slight glow to the skin

CONS-
1) Not for daily use. ( You should use it only once a week)
2) Packaging, runny consistency, flip top cap
3) Dries out the skin, slightly
4) Does nothing for acne.
5) Not completely natural an contains SLES

Overall Verdict- This is a good scrub and cleanses the face nicely. Dry skin stay away :D Oily skin may like it :) Overall, this is not a bad product, but not exceptionally good too. This performed averagely for me..

Rating- 3/5
